Wake Terms and Conditions

This privately owned site has no government, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections affiliation. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides a consumer report or FCRA-covered service. Its Wake County record directions cannot be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another regulated decision.

Nature of This Website

This is a private reference that points to Wake County and North Carolina custody and release resources. It stores no official records, cannot confirm custody, cannot release anyone, and cannot file a request or court document for a visitor. Some links lead to independent research tools.

Acceptable Use Rules

By using the site, you agree to act lawfully and respect other people and the service.

  • Do not stalk, threaten, harass, or harm anyone.
  • Do not use content for an eligibility or FCRA-covered decision.
  • Do not attempt access without authorization.
  • Do not deploy bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools.
  • Do not interfere with access or operation for others.
  • Do not violate a local, state, or federal law.

No Consumer Reports or Screening

Wake County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide a background check, credit report, or consumer report, and neither it nor an advertising partner offers a screening service through these pages. You agree not to use the information for hiring or firing, tenant or housing review, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, licensing, benefits, or any other purpose governed by the FCRA.

Links Leave This Site

Links may point to release records, sheriff and corrections offices, courts, legal resources, federal locators, or independent search services. We do not endorse or control their content, privacy practices, terms, data quality, or uptime. Review the destination's rules before proceeding.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty that the information is accurate, complete, or current; that service will be uninterrupted; that every error or security flaw will be absent; or that a partner search will return a complete result. Custody status and public files change often. Nothing here is an official statement from Wake County or another agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent North Carolina law permits, the site owners, operators, and contributors are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive loss arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside tool.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless a source states otherwise, the original text, graphics, logos, organization, and code belong to Wake County Released Inmates or its content partners. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit those materials without written permission.

Changes and Access Control

These terms may change at any time. A revision takes effect when posted. Access may also be limited, suspended, or revoked without notice when needed to protect the service or enforce these rules.

North Carolina Governing Law

North Carolina law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any permitted dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in North Carolina.

Severability of Terms

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected part will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.

Questions About These Terms
